South Beach Diet Shopping List

The south beach diet shopping list includes many of your favorite foods. The South Beach Diet book includes foods to enjoy and foods to avoid in phases 1 and 2 of the diet. It also includes meal plans and recipes for each phase of the diet. Some of the recipes are from popular restaurants in the Miami area.

A south beach diet shopping list for the phase 1 meal plan would include meats such as : lean sirloin and tenderloin beef, Cornish hen, turkey and chicken breasts, all types of fish and shellfish, boiled ham, veal chops and fat- free lunch meat .

The south beach diet shopping list would also include fat-free or low fat cheese, nuts such as almonds and cashews, eggs, fat-free or 1% milk, soy milk and yogurt and. Vegetables, canola and olive oil, sugar-free candy, gelatin and gum are also included on the south beach diet shopping list.

A south beach diet shopping list for phase 1 would exclude the following foods: liver, fatty meats, chicken wings and legs, honey- baked ham, nonreduced cheese, potatoes, all fruits and juices, starches and carbs, ice cream and whole or 2% milk.

A south beach diet shopping list for phase 2 would allow you to reintroduce fruit, nonfat yogurt, starches (used sparingly) such as multigrain breads, whole grain cereals, brown and wild rice, chocolate, pudding and red and white wine.

A south beach diet shopping list would rarely include starches and breads made with white flour, cookies, white rice, potatoes, fruit juices and ice cream. As you can see, the south beach diet still allows you to eat most of your favorite foods but restricts the foods that make you gain weight.
